Today (January 20) marks the 13th anniversary of the death of legendary Dancehall dancer and artist Gerald Levy, and also known as Bogle aka Father Bogle aka Mr Wacky
Bogle made an major impact on dancehall and was called the "Dancehall Master" creating some of Dancehall's biggest dances like Willie Bounce (named after Bogle's friend and Black Roses Crew member Willie Haggart), Wacky Dip, Urkle Dance, Sesame Street, Bogle Dance, Pelper, LOY, Jerry Springer, Zip It Up, Hotti Hotti Bogle, World Dance, Out and Bad, Sweeper, and many other popular dances.
Bogle was also an major influence on some of Dancehall's biggest artist and dancers like Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Voicemail, Ding Dong, Chi Chi Ching, Marvin the beast and Sadiki just to name a few
Bogle's legacy lives on throughout the dancehall community as Jamaica's greatest dancer of all time. With many dancehall artists and dancers paying respect to him (Father Bogle) in their song and dance .
Bogle was killed in a drive-by shooting in the early morning hours of January 20th 2005 in Kingston, Jamaica. His murder still remains unsolved to this day.
