The police have charged dancehall entertainer Gaza Slim.Following a marathon question and answer session at the Constant Spring Police the artiste was charged on Thursday evening with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.It is expected that she will spend the weekend behind bars.
Her attorney told RJR News on Thursday night a request will be made to have her taken to court on Friday but there is no guarantee that this will take place.
Gaza Slim, whose given name is Vanessa Saddler, and who is a member of Vybz Kartel's Portmore Empire, is accused of making a false report to the police.
She surrendered to the police on Monday after being named a person of interest last week.
The artiste found herself in trouble with the law when she went to the Constant Spring Police on October 29 and reported that she had just been robbed by Clive Williams, the man Vybz Kartel is accused of killing.
The cops say they seized a cell phone instructing Gaza Slim to make the false report.
Kartel is also under investigation in the matter.
